Let's look at the 3 easy steps that will help you generate more leads and customers in Q4.


Step 1:  Create an Offer for your prospective customers.
Timeline:  Now! 

This offer should be appealing to your target market. It should give them some incentive to buy your products/services.  Discounts are the most commonly used type of offer, but you could also offer free quotes or even white papers that discuss ideas and insider knowledge.

Here are a couple of offer examples by industry:

  • Retail - "Inquire with us today and receive 20% off your holiday purchase!"
  • Landscaping Services - "Learn how to prepare your lawn for the winter months."
  • Chimney Cleaning Services - "Is your chimney ready for Santa?  Contact us today for to schedule a free chimney sweep consultation."

Step 2:  Add 10-15 text descriptions and test them out.
Timeline:  1 hour to create the iterations now, 2 weeks to test.

Once you've created your holiday offer, you'll then need to create 10-15 different iterations, or text descriptions, of the offer.  Your visitors will respond to your text descriptions differently so maybe try some edgy offers to get their attention. You should try creating headlines and text descriptions that your visitors will notice and want to click to access a lead form. By having the offers rotate on your website randomly, you'll be able to collect view, click, and conversion data within your Eden account that specifies which offers are the strongest. 

You'll then need to make sure to add the offers to as many of your pages as possible so they can start being viewed by your visitors.  It's also imperative to make sure the form you ask your visitors to fill out is short and sweet.  Only collect the information you need to qualify and contact them quickly.

 

Step 3:  Show only the best performing ads.
Timeline:  Sometime in early November.

The final step is to turn your ad rotation from random to targeted.  This will only show the most attractive offers to the most qualified visitors.  You should make the switch to targeted mode in early November after you've received a good amount of offer views, clicks, and conversions from your original 10-15 offers.
