Use unique and relevant page titles and meta descriptions

Use a unique and relevant title and meta description on every page. The page title is a very important on-page SEO factor.  It’s rare to rank highly for a primary term (2-3 words) without that term being part of the page title. The meta description tag won’t help you rank, but it will often appear as the text snippet below your listing, so it should include the relevant keyword(s) and be written so as to encourage searchers to click on your listing.

Related bonus tip: You can use the meta keywords field to add common misspellings of your SEO target keywords in there, and any related keywords that don’t appear on the page.

How to add/edit your page titles and meta descriptions in Eden:

1. Login to Eden and click the "Pages" module.

2. Left click on the page you would like to change the title and meta description for in the page tree.

3. Click the "Settings" tab in the drop-down menu.

4. The meta description field is the second field down titled "Description" in the Settings light-box.  Type in a one to two sentance description here that the search engines can display in their results.

5. Scroll down the settings pag futher until you reach the "SEO Information" section.

6. The page title field is the first field under the "SEO Information" header.

7. Make the necessary changes here (make sure not to use special characters like slashes, apostrophes, and question marks as this can potentially break the page, use commas and hyphens instead).

8. Scroll to the bottom of the settings page and click the "Submit" button.
