iContact Email Marketing Plug-In for Eden Platform

We have integrated with iContact's new API to provide you with the ability to understand how your email marketing messages sent through iContact affect activity on your website.

For example, if you send a weekly email newsletter to your clients that includes one or more links back to any page of your website, iContact can track the number of clicks that your message receives. Email marketing clickthrough tracking is important but it doesn't paint the whole picture. You are left wondering what percentage of your website traffic comes from your email marketing campaigns and how that traffic affects your overall website pageview volume over time.

Understanding Your Marketing Campaigns with the Eden Platform Dashboard

The Eden Platform dashboard graph tracks your sitewide search engine optimization score and displays it against your total daily pageviews so that you can see that your website optimization efforts are driving more qualified traffic to your website over time.

The dashboard graph also lets you display other important offsite or offline marketing events against your daily pageview volume. By viewing these events alongside your daily pageviews you are able to understand how your offsite or offline marketing events affect activity on your website. Since your website is the destination of many of your marketing campaigns this enables you to make better decisions about which campaigns work and which ones need to be improved.

Displaying your iContact Email Newsletters on the Eden Platform Dashboard

Displaying your iContact email newsletters on the Eden Platform dashboard is easy. Simply click the Manage Events button above the dashboard graph. Select the iContact Email Marketing event type and then enter your iContact account credentials. Finally, enter a name and select a color to identify your email marketing campaigns on the dashboard graph.

Click Save and return to the dashboard graph to see how your recent email marketing campaigns with iContact are driving visitors to your website.

If the highest spikes in your pageview line over the last 30 days occur on or just after you sent a message with iContact then you know that your email newsletters are sending lots of qualified traffic to your website.

If your pageview line remains flat around the time of each message you sent through iContact you know that your email newsletters are not reaching a large enough audience or are not compelling that audience to click frequently enough to drive a significant number of visitors to your website.
